2. Purpose and scope

These General Terms govern the booking of excursions and private nautical services offered by SEA TRAVEL MENORCA SL (hereinafter, "the company") through the website seatravelmenorca.es or by any other means of communication.

Making a booking implies the full and unconditional acceptance of these terms. If you do not agree with them, you must not contract the service.

3. Description of the service

Sea Travel Menorca offers private excursions on a traditional llaüt-type vessel (Capeador 43, 9 metres in length, maximum capacity of 7 passengers) along the coast of Menorca, with a qualified professional skipper included.

The service includes: qualified skipper, fuel, navigation insurance, snorkelling equipment, cooler with ice on board, boat towels and a personalised route. It does not include food or drinks unless expressly contracted as an additional catering service.

Routes are planned according to weather conditions, nautical safety and the preferences of the group. The company reserves the right to modify the itinerary at any time for safety reasons.

4. Booking process

The booking is made through the online form available on the website, by WhatsApp or by email. The booking will be considered confirmed only when the customer has received written confirmation from the company and has paid the deposit or the agreed amount.

When making the booking, the customer declares:

  • Being over 18 years of age or acting with the consent of a legal guardian.
  • That the data provided is true, complete and up to date.
  • Having read and fully accepted these General Terms.

5. Prices and payment

The prices published on the website are expressed in euros (€) and include applicable VAT. The price is per full excursion (entire boat), not per person.

Available payment modalities:

  • 30% deposit: Paid at the time of booking. The remaining 70% is paid on the day of boarding, before departure.
  • Full payment (with discount): 100% is paid when booking and a 10% discount is applied to the excursion price. This modality is non-refundable in case of cancellation by the customer.

Accepted payment methods are: credit/debit card (processed through Stripe), bank transfer and Bizum. Bank details and the Bizum number will be communicated after the booking is confirmed. Sea Travel Menorca does not store the customer's card data; processing is carried out entirely on Stripe's secure platform.

6. Cancellation and changes policy

6.1 Cancellation by the customer

  • Cancellation more than 72 hours in advance: Full refund of the deposit paid, without penalty.
  • Cancellation between 72 and 24 hours in advance: The company will retain 50% of the deposit as administrative costs.
  • Cancellation less than 24 hours in advance or no-show: The entire deposit paid will be lost.

6.2 Cancellation due to weather conditions

In the event that weather conditions or the state of the sea are not suitable for safe navigation, the company will cancel or modify the excursion. In particular, the departure will be cancelled when any of the following conditions occur:

  • Waves higher than 1.5 m.
  • Wind exceeding 30 knots.
  • Thunderstorm within less than 10 km.
  • Heavy rain for more than 25% of the tour (more than 2 mm/h).

In these cases, the customer may choose to:

  • Change the date of the excursion at no additional cost.
  • Receive a full refund of all amounts paid.

The assessment of safety conditions is the exclusive responsibility of the skipper and the company.

6.3 Date changes

Date changes are subject to availability. Requested more than 72 hours in advance, they are processed at no additional cost (once per booking). With less than 72 hours, they are at the company's discretion based on boat and skipper availability.

7. Customer obligations and rules on board

The customer and all members of the group undertake to:

  • Arrive at the departure point (Es Canutells, Menorca) at least 15 minutes before the boarding time indicated in the confirmation.
  • Follow at all times the skipper's safety instructions.
  • Not to board under the influence of alcohol or other substances that could compromise safety.
  • Not to exceed the maximum capacity of 7 passengers.
  • Respect protected areas, marine fauna and flora (alive or dead) and the Menorcan coastline.
  • Not to throw waste into the sea.
  • Use safety elements on board correctly.

The skipper may refuse boarding or interrupt the excursion, with no right to a refund, if any passenger fails to comply with these rules or puts at risk the safety of the boat or other occupants.

8. Liability

Sea Travel Menorca holds the mandatory civil liability insurance and the boat insurance required by current nautical regulations.

The company will not be liable for:

  • Damage or loss of personal items on board.
  • Injuries arising from non-compliance with the skipper's safety instructions.
  • Delays or modifications caused by adverse weather, decisions by maritime authorities or other force majeure circumstances.

The company's maximum liability towards the customer, in any case, will be limited to the total amount paid for the booking.

9. Minors

Minors under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Minors under 3 years of age must have an approved life jacket suitable for their size, which may be provided by the family or requested from the company in advance.
